Paul Cezanne
| Paul Cézanne is well-known French post-impressionist painter who was born in 19 January 1839 in Aix-en-Provence in southern France to a middle class family and died on 22 October 1906. His works laid the foundation of the Impressionist painters in France. Concerned folk know him as one of the most influential artists in the history of twentieth-century painting.
Some arts’ critics think that Paul Cézanne has inspired the modern generations of artists. He has a collection of written letters to include specific insights to his thoughts, feelings and work experiences. Critics consider him one of the most important figures in the development of modern painting.
His father owned a successful hat trade and became a banker later. Paul Cézanne was a talented student during his school. Emile Zola was one of his best school friends.
Pablo Picasso regarded Paul Cézanne said about him a "mother hovering over" and Henri Matisse said about him a "father to us all".
