We have changed the (Guest Dewy Corner) and from now forth you're going to read news and some issues (Behind the Misery Margin). We think this is good to follow up news in other miserable parts of this world. You'll be able to see behind the misery margins and know something about those dictators who are ruling their people by iron and fire. There're two news follow up with the recent crisis in Sudan because it is the last real threat to the unity of the million squire miles which forms the Sudan Republic. The conflict in Dar-Fur, western Sudan, resulted in the loss of 50.000 people, WHO reports this week. Tragedy! Find the report below. Instead of seriously getting involved with the International efforts to solve this problem, the Sudanese dictatorship military regime announced an attempt to overthrow it last week. Tragicomedy?! Yes, and that's because the military regime accused Hassan El-Turabi's party saying the party planned a coup d'etat against the government. El-Turabi was the leader of the "National Islamic Front". The "NIF" has played the principal role in bringing those dictators to the government by planning it's coup d'etat 1989. The party was dissolved and changed into the governing "National Conference". The devil knows how to play! When this party formed in the fiftieth it was the "Muslim Brothers" and it was influenced in it's alleged Islamic bias by the Egyptian´s "Muslim Brothers". The secular people of the Sudan said that time, the ruined wind was encroached through the northern gate. Then that party was changed on the second period to the "Islamic Convention Front". The Islamic Front was changed again on the third period to the "National Islamic Front" and changed again on the foruth period to the "National Conference". Yes, the devil knows how to play! In a premier tragicomedy El-Turabi led some of his flowers to confront the government he brought into power and renamed his party as the "Popular National Congress". Now the dictatorial military regime is alleged him declaring that he was about to overthrow the government he brought into power. A complicated tragicomedy! Ezine Act 54! ¤Behind the Misery Margin: WHO reports up to 10,000 deaths per month in Darfur A World Health Organization survey estimates 50,000 people have died as the result of conflict in the Darfur region, with 6,000 to 10,000 people dying each month in refugee camps of disease and continued violence. "You should not be seeing these sort of figures six months into an emergency and they reflect the fact that we still have a huge humanitarian challenge ahead of us," the WHO's David Nabarro said. [ This report does not necessarily reflect the views of the United Nations] © IRIN KHARTOUM, 27 Sep 2004 (IRIN) - Sudanese security forces set up roadblocks, searched vehicles and houses and intensified surveillance around the capital, Khartoum, after the government on Friday accused the Islamist opposition Popular National Congress Party of former speaker Hasan Abdullah al-Turabi of plotting to overthrow President Umar Hasan al-Bashir's administration. Bashir, in a meeting with supporters from eastern Sudan, said a plot had been uncovered to capture power "regardless of what might happen to the people" of Sudan. He said the foiled coup attempt was "plotted under the leadership and direction" of Turabi. "We shall fulfill all our duties towards our homeland and defend the rights of the Sudanese people," Bashir said. "There is true conspiracy against Sudan through the use of sedition, alleged racial cleansing and genocide." An opposition leader dismissed the alleged plot. "It is all made up to divert international attention and pressure over the Darfur conflict and other related issues," Sudan People's Liberation Movement/Army (SPLM/A) spokesman Samson Kwaje told reporters in Nairobi. Bashir, speaking in another report carried by Sudanese TV on Sunday said: "We truly applaud the citizens' cooperation and their patience regarding the security measures [which] are bothering everyone. But the harassment, which comes as a result of security measures, is easier for the people than the consequences which could arise as a result of a security breach." "This attempt has been completely foiled, because all major weapons, except for a few which are in the hands of some people, have been seized," he added. "All senior leaders and field commanders have been arrested, and the rest, God willing, will be arrested in the next few days." On 8 September, Sudanese authorities arrested 14 members of the Popular National Congress Party, saying they were attempting to sabotage the peace. Extra police, military and security personnel were deployed on Khartoum streets. The government last year accused Turabi of sedition and claimed that his party was supporting the rebel Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) in the western region of Darfur. The JEM, one of the two rebel groups that are active in Darfur, claims to be fighting to end the marginalisation of the area. Turabi helped Bashir to gain power in a 1989 coup and was a key ally of the president for a decade. In 1999 he fell out with Bashir after signing an agreement with the SPLM/A agreeing to oppose the government’s "totalitarian course" and acknowledging the right of southern Sudanese to self-determination.
