    How to Make Money on Autopilot... with Autoresponders?!

    An autoresponder is an online service that sends a series of pre-written email messages to prospects, clients, and past customers. You can tell it what to send, and when. What's nifty about autoresponders is they send YOUR personalized message to each individual the exact same number of hours, days, or weeks after that person first contacted you.

    For an information marketer, a series of messages on an autoresponder is pure gold.

    Your autoresponder series could contain lessons of a mini-course, or issues of a newsletter, or even a series of reminder messages about something your prospect inquired about.

    Here's how it works...

    Say you have a two-day interval between your first and second message, and someone signs up for your autoresponder on Sunday. That person will receive his or her second message on Tuesday (two days later).

    A different person signing up for the same autoresponder on Wednesday will get his or her second message on Friday. And so on.

    Why is this important?

    Because this technology lets you send hundreds, thousands, even hundreds of thousands personalized, one-on-one timed, sequential marketing messages to people - without your having to lift a finger. All you have to do is write the message once, and program it in. The autoresponder will take care of the follow-up FOR you.

    And this is VERY important because numerous studies have shown that many people DON´T buy when you first ask them to buy. One famous study says that 80% of sales come only after the fifth request.

    Do you think you could sell more information products if you followed up with people using a few autoresponder messages?

    You bet you would sell more. In fact, I have proof that you will - because I've seen it, first hand, in my own business!

    A great example of an autoresponder sequence that adds cash to the bottom line is the mini-course we offer at the 7-Day eBook site. People sign up for the course via autoresponder and I follow up with them with additional information that helps them make the decision to ultimately buy the book and other e-products we offer.

    We've sold an extra $350 to $1,500 per month (depending on signups) to the customers who didn't buy when they first came to the site. We've done this because, after they read the autoresponder lessons, they realize how valuable the information in the actual ebook itself must be.

    Now, here's a short mini-course in how to set up your own autoresponder:

    You can let people sign up for your autoresponder series either by sending an email to the autoresponder address or -- and this is what I prefer -- by having people input their name and email address into a web-based signup form. The form can be either on your site or in a pop-up window.

    When someone signs up for your autoresponder they normally receive an email back from the autoresponder right away.

    After that initial message - which, again, could be the start of a mini-course, a free report, or even the first issue of a newsletter (like this one :) - they will receive additional, personalized messages by automated follow-up at whatever intervals you determine.

    For example:

    * message 1 after 3 days
    * message 2 five days later,
    * message 3 nine days after that
    .. and so on.

    Also, you can email everyone all at the same time through a "broadcast" email, no matter where they are in the series of scheduled messages.

    A broadcast email is usually for new product announcements, special alerts to subscribers, or some other important announcement - usually an announcement which will help your subscribers... and make you some extra money.
